7 Must Have Gadgets During the 90s

Recently there was a big event for all the gadget fanatics out there where Apple have launched its new iPhone and introduced to the public their iWatch. A definite must have, especially for iPhone users in the market. But let’s look back and remember all the old gadgets that created hype during the 90s.


Back in the 90s where apps and smartphones are not yet invented, people have their own top gadgets that they craze about. It was the era where gaming consoles, on the go music and Personal Computers was introduced to the market.


Nintendo GAMEBOY

The Game Boy is an 8-bit handheld video game device developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It was released in Japan on April 21, 1989, in North America in August 1989, and in Europe on September 28, 1990. It is the first handheld console in the Game Boy line, and was created by Gunpei Yokoi and Nintendo Research & Development 1—the same staff who had designed the Game & Watch series as well as several popular games for the Nintendo Entertainment System.


Sony WALKMAN

The Sony Walkman became a hit because it’s actually the pioneer on  it’s category where people can listen to music while on the move.


Sony PLAYSTATION

This was introduced in the late 90’s and became a hit to all the gamers. Remembering the famous games like resident evil who was first introduced in this gaming console.


PAGER

Who can forget the time when everyone owns a pager? I even remember owning one but it was shared by the whole family. You can send messages to a pager by contacting an operator through a telephone.


FAMILY COMPUTER

Another classic game console that introduced some famous games today like Super Mario Bros, Tetris and Pacman. Family Computer was also manufactured and distributed by Nintendo who have been a well established brand in the gaming world.


TAMAGOTCHI

Tamagotchi is a handheld digital pet, created in Japan by Akihiro Yokoi of WiZ and Aki Maita of Bandai. It was first sold by Bandai in 1996 in Japan. (Source)

The iMac is a range of all-in-one Macintosh desktop computers designed and built by Apple Inc. It has been the primary part of Apple's consumer desktop offerings since its introduction in 1998-2008. (Source)
